Random Ramsdom: What will be the Rams’ biggest liability in 2020?

In Bleacher Report’s latest piece, NFL analyst Kristopher Knox lists every team’s “biggest liability” heading into the 2020 season. Most of the players and/or position groups noted are pretty obvious. Most team’s lack a pass rush or offensive line depth, but the Rams’ liability is one that I would necessarily agree with.

According to Knox, the Rams’ running back group is their biggest liability this year, and I’m not so sure that’s the case. Yes, they lost Todd Gurley, but they gained a phenomenal rookie in Cam Akers. They also have an efficient veteran in Malcolm Brown with a nose for the end zone and another young talent in Darrell Henderson. They may not have a thoroughbred workhorse but it’s still one of the better RBBC in the league.

“If the Rams cannot find some semblance of a strong rushing attack, it’s going to put even more pressure on quarterback Jared Goff—who is already coming off a disappointing 2019 campaign.” - Knox

Knox brings up a good point though. The ground game will indeed be the main factor to take pressure off the shoulders of Goff, and with no real proven asset at the position, it’s tough to consider it a strength just yet. But give it a couple weeks into the season and I ]’m sure analysts will be singing a different tune about this group.
