Rams poll: Who is the biggest NFC West rival?

It’s probably going to be the 49ers by a landslide

This is the second week of Rivalry Week at SB Nation and this post is simple. We want to hear from you.

What team in the NFC West do you think is the LA Rams’ biggest rival?

Do you think it’s the San Francisco 49ers, Seattle Seahawks or Arizona Cardinals? I fully expect this to be a two-team race between the Niners and Seahawks. Those are the teams that have, in recent memory, been the Rams’ toughest competition in the division, so bias may be at play.

Although, I can see St. Louis Rams fans having a real disdain for the Cardinals because they are the team the Rams replaced in St. Louis when the franchise moved to Arizona in the late 1980s.

In the end, I think the top choice will be the 49ers because of a few reasons. One being that the 49ers are a California rival and the natural sports Los Angeles-San Francisco rivalry is real. But I also think the 49ers will be the most popular answer because the Rams and 49ers have long been division rivals. The NFC West may have evolved and changed over the years, but the Rams-49ers NFC West rivalry has burned long and hard.
