Random Ramsdom: WR Cooper Kupp lands at No. 89 on NFL Top 100

On Sunday, the NFL began unveiling the first 30 players voted to their annual Top 100 list. For those of you who don’t know, the list is voted on only by the players, which means no coaches, executives or media personalities are surveyed. There were 970 total ballots accepted, so you know the opinions aren’t just those of a few biased players.

Kupp enjoyed a resurgence in 2019 after his 2018 season was cut short due to an unfortunate ACL injury in November of that year. He finished last season with 94 catches for 1,161 yards and 10 touchdowns. Each of those totals were high marks on the team and the best of Kupp’s young career.

Kupp has become one of the league’s premiere slot receivers while also consistently coming through in the clutch for Jared Goff and the Rams offense. He was insanely productive on third downs, leading the NFL in touchdowns scored on that down with seven.

With Brandin Cooks now on the Teaxans, Kupp only has the share the spotlight with Robert Woods and 2019 showed there will likely be plenty of targets to go around between the two, even with tight Tyler Higbee carving out a niche for himself late last year.
