Going inside SoFi Stadium

A look at what’s going on at the new home of the Rams (and Chargers)

LA Rams COO Kevin Demoff calls SoFi Stadium the place that local fans have been “waiting decades for” and that Sunday, Sept. 13 against the Dallas Cowboys remains the set date to debut the first NFL stadium ever built in Los Angeles.

As the construction on the $5 billion home to the Rams and Chargers nears completion amid a tumultuous offseason that has included tragedy and working through a pandemic — which caused the delay of the expected grand opening concert featuring Taylor Swift that would have been this Saturday — more images and video of SoFi are reaching the world.

Among those options is ABC7’s Localish LA program, which got an insider’s tour of SoFi from Demoff, who talks about the world’s largest video board, the relationship between the team and the city, and how the stadium was built so specifically towards and for Rams fans. (Sorry, Chargers.)

John Johnson, Johnny Hekker, and Sean McVay can also be found in the video talking about their offseasons.
