Who are the Rams top-10 players on offense?

This one could be trickier than the defense

This week we’ve already managed to get together an initial top-10 list going for the LA Rams defense and there really weren’t many issues before arriving at that order. I can’t imagine the offense being as easy.

Who are the top-10 most important players to the Rams offense?

Remember, this is not “who is the most talented” or even necessarily “who is the most valuable” but it is more like: Who is the player that Sean McVay most can’t afford to lose next season in order for his offense to run most effectively? And then going from the most important down to the 10th-most important.

This means that you also have to take into account how large the gap is between the starter and who his replacement would be. That’s why in spite of there maybe being “more talented” players around him, I believe Jared Goff is still the most important.

Even a writer who has been critical and skeptical of Goff would have to admit that the drop off from him to John Wofford or one of the undrafted free agents is either too great or potentially too great (we can’t rule out that one of the backups is the next Kurt Warner or even the next Jake Delhomme) to not place him at number one. That doesn’t mean there aren’t other defensible answers for the most important player to the Rams offense.

Others who I’d imagine get consideration are Andrew Whitworth, Cooper Kupp, and Robert Woods. I wouldn’t at this time yet be placing Cam Akers or Tyler Higbee in a situation to be considered here.

Then there’s the whole confusion about which players are actually starting on the offensive line. Losing Rob Havenstein could be devastating, we don’t quite know. Before 2019, most would have thought that would have been terrible. After 2019, we saw it happen and it was potentially better for the offense when he went out.

I’ll throw down some polls to start getting a sense of how this top-10 could shake out.
