The LA Rams vs. New Orleans Saints preseason opener will be canceled, per reports by ProFootballTalk’s Mike Florio, who says that the NFL is cancelling all the preseason Week 1 and Week 4 games this season because of the coronavirus.
That also means that the Rams won’t be playing in Las Vegas against the Raiders on Sept. 3.
Week One and Week Four will be the preseason weeks that are scrapped, per source.

The Rams had been set to open up and debut SoFi Stadium on Aug. 14 against New Orleans, but if this report is true then it means that they’ll instead open up at SoFi Stadium on Aug. 22 against the Chargers ... as the “road” team.
Right now, LA’s preseason schedule is as follows:
- Aug. 14, hosting Saints
- Aug. 22, “road” against Chargers
- Aug. 29, hosting the Denver Broncos in the new “home debut”
- Sept. 3, road vs Raiders
The new schedule would then simply be Aug. 22 and Aug. 29, both games at 7 p.m PT. The Rams would then open SoFi Stadium for real on Sept. 13 at 5:20 p.m. on Sunday Night Football against the Dallas Cowboys.

Are less preseason games going to be a good thing for the NFL?
