On Tuesday, I ran polls here at Turf Show Times asking who you thought the most important players on the LA Rams defense currently are. The results for a top-10 aren’t quite clear yet but here’s what I feel confident in saying about the top-8 you voted on.
1. Aaron Donald
2. Jalen Ramsey
3. John Johnson
4. Michael Brockers
5. Leonard Floyd
6. A’Shawn Robinson
7. Taylor Rapp
8. Terrell Lewis
We were looking for the top-10 but I’ll explain how I got to this top-7 and what to do about the final three.
Donald, Ramsey, and Johnson had straightforward poll results. Brockers had the most votes for fourth place, but actually him and Robinson currently have the exact same number over votes in the 4th and 5th-place votes combined, whereas Floyd has more total votes in those polls than both of them but is in third place in the 4th-place poll. I decided the tiebreakers would be that Brockers gets fourth because he had the most votes for fourth, Floyd gets fifth because he had the most total votes in those two polls, and Robinson gets sixth.
Rapp had the most votes for the “Who do you still want to vote for?” poll and he had consistently drawn votes in the other polls too. Lewis also got enough votes in the last two polls for me to comfortably put him in eighth for now.
How about nine and 10?
I realized that I forgot Troy Hill on the final poll but I don’t feel bad about that: he didn’t draw many votes in the two polls he was included on and the “Other” didn’t get many votes in the final poll so there wasn’t much clamoring for more Hill.
Who should be the final two?
Which Rams defensive player is being snubbed the most right now?
