It’s been quite a week for Cooper Kupp in terms of recognition.
On Wednesday, the Rams’ fourth-season receiver was named the No. 97th best player in the NFL by Pete Prisco of CBS.
Also this week, the productive receiver was selected in SB Nation’s 2017 re-draft. Kupp was taken No. 21 by the Detroit Lions.

In real life, Kupp was taken No. 69 overall in the third round of the 2017 draft by the Rams. So the fact that Kupp has this type of value three years later shows what a great choice the Rams made.
Kupp was a two-time Big Sky Offensive Player of the Year out of Eastern Washington. Still, he fell in the draft because he played at a small school. Kupp has definitely proven the Rams right with great NFL productive. He returned from a bad knee injury in 2018, to catch 94 passes in 2019 and he is a big part of the Rams’ plans moving forward.
The Rams didn’t have a first-round pick in 2017 because it was sent to the Tennessee Titans as part of a blockbuster deal that resulted in the Rams taking quarterback Jared Goff No. 1 overall in the 2016 draft.
The Titans had No. 18 pick via the Rams in 2017. They took USC cornerback Adoree’ Jackson in that draft and stuck with him in the re-draft.
