Rams coach Sean McVay promised to have some guest speakers to keep the virtual offseason meetings with his players lively — and he’s certainly lived up to his word.
Kudos to McVay’s booking power.
After having Clippers head coach Doc Rivers talk to the Rams last month, McVay recently scored NFL legend Peyton Manning. The Hall of Fame in-waiting quarterback spoke to the Rams on Thursday for 30 minutes on Thursday, according to the LA Times, then took questions from the players for another 30 minutes.
Judging by Twitter reactions, The Sheriff was a hit:
It was so dope hearing Peyton Manning talk about ball and his experiences as a player! Huge S/O to the !

As an aspiring ball guy and young player, getting to hear a raw and unfiltered Peyton Manning talk ball was absolutely incredible.

It’s predictable that Manning played to rave reviews. He’s a funny dude and he can work a room. He owned a virtual discussion with fellow superstars Tom Brady, Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson last week:
Remember, Manning could have had his meeting with the Rams as a team alumni.
The Rams made a run at Manning in 2016, but he decided to retire as a Super Bowl champion with the Denver Broncos.
