That’s now nine new players on the Los Angeles Rams with a host of undrafted free agents set to be added in the hours and days after this writing. The Rams were expected to perhaps target offensive line early and they didn’t take one until the very end of the draft in Anchrum, who likely projects as a practice squad player until further notice. They were thought to maybe look for a cornerback but the closest was probably Terrell Burgess in round three as a potential nickel this season.
Instead, it seems Les Snead and Sean McVay may have favored skill players who could help them immediately, players who could step in for departed free agents in 2021, and players who may have had good support systems growing up and prepared to be ready soon as three of the picks have fathers with strong NFL backgrounds.
