The LA Rams don’t have a first round pick this year but they did use this year’s first round pick. And that counts just as much. What is general manager Les Snead’s history in the first round since becoming the general manager in 2012?

2012 - Trade pick 2 to Washington for pick 6, pick 39 (Janoris Jenkins), 2013 first, 2014 first

2012 - Trade pick 6 to Cowboys for pick 14 (Michael Brockers), pick 45 (traded down to pick 50 (Isaiah Pead) and add pick 150 (Rokevious Watkins)

2012: Pick 2 turned to Michael Brockers, Janoris Jenkins, Isaiah Pead, Rokevious Watkins, and to be continued

2013: Trade pick 16 to Bills for pick 8 (Tavon Austin) while sacrificing pick 46, pick 78, pick 22 and adding back pick 71 (TJ McDonald)

2013: Trade pick 22 (from Washington) and 249 to Falcons for pick 30 (Alec Ogletree), pick 92 (Stedman Bailey), pick 198 (traded with pick 184 to move up for Zac Stacy)

2013: Picks 16, 22, 46, 78, 198, and 249 turned to Tavon Austin, Alec Ogletree, TJ McDonald, Stedman Bailey, and Zac Stacy

2014: Use pick 2 (from Washington) on Greg Robinson

2014: Use pick 13 on Aaron Donald

2015: Use pick 10 on Todd Gurley

2016: Trade pick 15, pick 43, pick 45, pick 76, a 2016 first, and a 2017 third to Titans for pick 1 (Jared Goff), pick 113 (traded down with Bears to add pick 206 (Michael Thomas) and select Pharoh Cooper)

2016: Picks 15, 43, 45, 76, 2017 first, 2017 third turn into Jared Goff, Pharoh Cooper, Michael Thomas

2017: Used pick for Goff

2018: Trade pick 23, pick 198 to the Patriots for Brandin Cooks, pick 136 (used to trade down with Panthers, selecting Micah Kiser, adding pick 197, which was used to trade down again, this time with Washington, eventually seledting Trevon Young and Travin Howard.)

2018: Traded first round pick for Brandin Cooks

2019: Traded pick 31, pick 203 to the Falcons for pick 45, pick 79

2019: Traded pick 45 to the Patriots for pick 56, 101

2019: Traded pick 56 to the Chiefs for pick 61, 167

2019: Used pick 61 on Taylor Rapp

2019: Used pick 79 on David Long

2019: Traded pick 101, 133 to Patriots for pick 97, 162

2019: Used pick 97 on Bobby Evans

2019: Traded pick 162, 167 to Patriots for pick 134, 243

2019: Used pick 134 on Greg Gaines, used pick 243 on Nick Scott

2020: Traded for Jalen Ramsey

2021: Trade for Jalen Ramsey

So, this is kind of how I would classify the real important names to consider when thinking of how Snead has used his first round picks, 2012-2021:

Michael Brockers, Janoris Jenkins, Isaiah Pead, Tavon Austin, Alec Ogletree, TJ McDonald, Greg Robinson, Aaron Donald, Todd Gurley, Jared Goff, Brandin Cooks, Taylor Rapp, David Long, Bobby Evans, Greg Gaines, Jalen Ramsey

Biggest names: Ramsey, Donald, Gurley, Cooks, Brockers, Jenkins, Ogletree, Rapp

Some were around longer than others, some just arrived.
