The Rams are certainly doing their due diligence this offseason when it comes to trying to replace Greg Zuerlein. Within the last month, they’ve signed a pair of kickers in Austin MacGinnis and Lirim Hajrullahu. MacGinnis was most recently with the Dallas Renegades of the XFL while Hajrullahu hails from the CFL’s Toronto Argonauts.

Despite those signings, the Rams have reportedly met with Sam Sloman, a kicker from Miami of Ohio, Justin Melo of The Draft Wire.

Sloman has held placekicker duties for the Redhawks over the last three seasons. As a freshman in 2016, he was the team’s kickoff specialist while adding a single successful field goal on three attempts.

This past season, Sloman was named a Second-Team All-MAC selection after connecting on 26-of-30 field goal attempts, including 4-of-5 from 50+ yards. Both makes and attempts were all-time single-season records at Miami. In the MAC Championship Game, Sloman was named the Special Teams Player of the Game after connecting on 4-of-4 field goals in the 26-21 victory.
