Justin Melo of The Draft Wire recently reported that the Rams have met with Syracuse defensive end Alton Robinson. Coincidentally, I included Robinson in an article I wrote following the combine about players who performed well and play positions of need for the Rams.

The 6’4, 260-pound defender was a Second-Team All-ACC selection as a junior after posting double-digits in tackles-for-loss and sacks with 17 and 10, respectively. He also recorded two pass deflections, three forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries. As a senior in 2019, Robinson was invited to both the Reese’s Senior Bowl and the NFL Combine. He finished his last season as a member of the Orange with a career-high 46 tackles to go with nine tackles-for-loss, four sacks, three pass deflections, and five forced fumbles.

In Indianapolis, Robinson posted a 4.64 forty-yard time. It was one of the fastest time s among all defensive lineman and supports his tape that was littered with excellent get-offs and explosion at the snap. He is a menace on the backside of runs which forces opposing offenses to leave a blocker for him instead of capitalizing on having numbers play-side.
