Sosa’s Los Angeles Rams 2020 NFL Draft big board

After getting some time to dive into the tape, Sosa shares his takeaways from this draft class as it pertains to the Rams.

The 2020 NFL Draft is quickly arriving as we’re now only nine days away from kicking off the first round of the draft. The Los Angeles Rams sit in a decent position with a full draft haul, essentially replacing their departed first-round pick with an extra second-round pick from the Houston Texans via the WR Brandin Cooks trade.

Looking at the Rams’ roster, I dedicated my time towards watching many of the offensive lineman, wide receivers, running backs, edge rushers, and off-ball linebackers. There is still more work to be done and these lists may ultimately be updated in the next nine days - particularly with new additions, though this is the current crop of players.

Below are the names I’d be fine with selecting broken down by round if I were General Manager Les Snead (the names on the list include ONLY the players I’ve had a chance to watch in-depth). The names are listed in order according to their respective positions.

Round 2:

As you can see, I’ve got a decent mix of guys across positions. Only the “high-end” receivers make the list here, in addition to a ton of offensive lineman and a few edge rushers/off-ball linebackers.

Round 3:

Round three has a more even mix than round two did, with nearly the same amount of guys per position across the board. The board introduces the first running backs on the list, though they’d still land somewhere near the bottom of the order as it pertains to the remaining options.

Day 3:

Of all the remaining players I’ve scouted, they’re ranked in order here. Some of the guys on this list don’t really fit the Rams’ current situation very well (K.J. Hill, Quartney Davis for ex) but are still included on this list.

This is my current Rams-related draft board, with the potential for more additions to be added as I get a chance to dig through more players and tape. Let me know what you guys think and if you have any questions/comments.
