Good morning and Happy Wednesday to you all.

I hope the unveiling of the new team logo didn’t force anyone to empty their liquor cabinets this early into your self-quarantine. Otherwise, if it did, you’re probably still sleeping off the hangover 36 hours later.

The fan base is seems pretty set on the whole thing being bad while the general NFL fan base looks pretty torn on what they do and don’t like. While some thing the “LA Horn” logo is cool and the ram head is bad, other thing the exact opposite, Personally, I’ve seen some fans combine the two into one logo and I thought that was pretty damn cool.

At least this one looks like it took some time to make. When the two are separate, it’s hard to imagine someone spent two and a half years working on them. They still have to unveil the actual uniforms and them nailing the jerseys will go a long way in people being okay with the rest of the changes.

Enjoy the links. I hope you’re all staying as safe and clean as possible!

“The new Los Angeles Rams logo has been met with a mixed response, and CEO Kevin Demoff tweeted Tuesday that he would read the top 10 mean tweets regarding the new logo if the team’s “Te’LA’thon”—to raise money for the United Way of Greater Los Angeles’ Pandemic Relief Fund and the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank amid the coronavirus pandemic—raised over $2 million.”

“However, Schefter and Russini noted “the consensus among owners and the league office” is to keep the draft as planned, albeit in an undetermined location after Sam Farmer of the Los Angeles Times reported Saturday the event will not be held in Las Vegas as scheduled.”

Aaron Donald is favorite to win 2020 Defensive Player of the Year

https://theramswire.usatoday.com/2020/03/24/nfl-odds-aaron-donald-rams-defensive-player-year/

“Statistically, Aaron Donald had a down year in 2019 with 12.5 sacks, 24 QB hits and 20 tackles for loss – all lower than his remarkable 2018 output when he won Defensive Player of the Year. The fact that numbers like those equate to a so-called “down year” shows how good Donald has been throughout his career, making the Pro Bowl each season.”

Rams free agent Mike Thomas signs with Bengals

https://theramswire.usatoday.com/2020/03/25/la-rams-mike-thomas-bengals-free-agency/

Thomas spent the last four years with the Rams, but he contributed very little as a wide receiver. He caught 10 passes for 144 yards since 2016, playing just 238 total snaps on offense. He mostly played special teams as a gunner, using his speed in that phase of the game.”

“After unveiling their new logos and colors on Monday, the Los Angeles Rams and a local ABC affiliate held a virtual telethon to help raise money for the United Way’s coronavirus relief fund and food bank. Rams COO Kevin Demoff said before the telethon began that if more than $2 million was raised, he would read mean tweets about the team’s new logo.”

Touchdown Wire’s post-free agency mock draft: Cornerbacks take over the first round

https://touchdownwire.usatoday.com/2020/03/24/farrar-post-free-agency-nfl-mock-draft/

“Having the Colts move out of the first round after trading for 49ers defensive lineman DeForest Bucker also adds to a new quarterback picture, as the Colts seemed likely to pick a quarterback with the 13th overall selection. With Philip Rivers around in the short term, that probably has changed.”

Al Woods leaving Seahawks for Jaguars

“Fans of the Seattle Seahawks have been on the edge of their seats since the start of free agency last week awaiting news regarding the future of the multiple free agents who play on the defensive line. In that time the team has tendered Branden Jackson and resigned Jarran Reed while waiting for a conclusion to the Jadeveon Clowney situation.”

https://www.ninersnation.com/2020/3/24/21192883/49ers-sign-wr-travis-benjamin-to-a-one-year-deal

“The Niners were linked to Philip Dorsett, but he signed a one-year deal with the Seattle Seahawks. Benjamin is likely the Marquise Goodwin replacement.”

https://www.revengeofthebirds.com/2020/3/25/21193195/az-arizona-cardinals-get-big-boost-in-win-total-after-deandre-hopkins-trade

“That may not seem like a lot to some, but a whole game increase is a massive number in gambling and essentially asks if you think the Cardinals are going to be a .500 team in 2020.”
