Wade Phillips has been in the NFL as long as the Seattle Seahawks and Tampa Bay Buccaneers have. Born in 1947, Phillips has seen plenty as he approaches his 73rd birthday in June, but nothing like the coronavirus/COVID-19 outbreak that has put most of the world on pause and situated at their respective homes. While Phillips may be a bit older than some of us, he has remained quite hip with younger people and been a quality follow on Twitter, which is also where he went to send out a message to everyone who may need one more person to get the message across: Stay at home.
“STOP =save the old people”
I am continuing my campaign to Save The Old People = STOP this Virus. Execute the game plan. We are a team - America’s Team . Everyone do their part.

Phillips continued: “I am continuing my campaign to Save The Old People = STOP this Virus. Execute the game plan. We are a team = America’s Team . Everyone do their part.”
On Twitter, Wade still refers to himself as someone’s kid (@sonofbum) but during his 11 different stints with NFL teams, the coaching free agent has been a mentor to many. He looks to continue that role on social media for his current “team” of fellow humans and Americans.
