The Rams wrapped a busy day of replenishing their roster on Wednesday evening by signing Detroit Lions’ defensive tackle A’Shawn Robinson.

Robinson’s signing capped a day in which the Rams re-signed offensive linemen Austin Blythe and Andrew Whitworth, and Chicago pass-rusher Leonard Floyd.

It was a big day of spending after the Rams saw the likes of linebacker Cory Littleton (to the Raiders), defensive lineman Michael Brockers (to the Ravens) and pass-rusher Dante Fowler (to the Falcons) leave in free agency.

Earlier Wednesday, the Rams moved fast to replace Fowler with Floyd. Now, Robinson essentially replaces Brockers on the line and will offer help for Aaron Donald.

Robinson was a second-round draft pick by the Lions out of Alabama in 2016. He turns 25 on Saturday. He had 40 tackles and 1.5 sacks last season.

The Rams and Robinson earned a gold star for sending out the most creative tweet in the NFL Wednesday. Because of the coronavirus crisis, teams can’t announce deals until a player takes a physical.

Deals can only be reported, but not officially announced by teams. So Robinson took it into his own hands to “report” the news.

Hilarious.
