Michael Brockers may not be the Rams’ highest-profile free agent — that title belongs to linebacker Cory Littleton or pass-rusher Dante Fowler — but don’t discount the value of Brockers.

He will be sought after and the Rams need to try to keep him. But with all of their pending free agents, they may be challenged to afford Brockers, who first became a St. Louis Rams when the team picked him with the No. 14 overall in the 2012 NFL draft.

The Rams have a projected $15-20 million in salary cap room with a number of pressing needs, meaning that some of their better defensive free agents may be on the move.

Brockers, 29, is coming off a solid season and had a career-high 63 tackles in 2019, so he is bound to generate interest.

Here are some teams that could be a fit for Brockers

Baltimore: The Ravens could use Brockers’ push. He might be interested in playing on a strong defense and a legitimate Super Bowl contender.

Dallas: The Cowboys could use his veteran leadership as they revamp their defensive front.

Indianapolis: The Colts have the need and the cap room. It could be a fit.

Jacksonville: The Jaguars may have to overpay, because they are least likely of the teams on this list to win in 2020.

Los Angeles Chargers: The idea of staying in the area, getting a nice deal by the Chargers and playing in SoFi Stadium could appeal to Brockers.

New England: What veteran defensive player wouldn’t want to play for Bill Belichick?
