The Los Angeles Rams had Aaron Donald and Jalen Ramsey named to the 2021 Pro Bowl, as expected, but no other members of the team will be honored with that distinction this season. There shouldn’t be any alternates named because the Pro Bowl will be held virtually.
I thought some other Rams deserved consideration but it is understandably an exclusive club this year and only Donald and Ramsey appear as those “sure thing” bets for end-of-year lists. Punter Johnny Hekker was beat out by Jack Fox of the Detroit Lions.
Others who may have warranted a spot were Leonard Floyd, who lost out on the NFC roster to Khalil Mack, Za’Darius Smith and Jason Pierre-Paul; the guard spots are being occupied by Brandon Scherff, Andrus Peat and Elgton Jenkins, rather than Austin Corbett; the four NFC wide receivers will be Davante Adams, DeAndre Hopkins, DK Metcalf and rookie Justin Jefferson; the other corners besides Ramsey are Jaire Alexander, Marshon Lattimore and James Bradberry; John Johnson will not be on the roster, as the safeties are Quandre Diggs, Budda Baker and Jamal Adams.
Which Rams player not on the Pro Bowl do you think most deserved consideration?
