The Los Angeles Rams did the unthinkable on Sunday, and lost 23-20 to the previously winless New York Jets.
The Jets improve to 1-13 after securing their first victory, on the road, against a team with a good record. The Rams fall to 9-5, and move to second place in the NFC West, a game behind the Seattle Seahawks (10-4).
The Jets led 13-3 at the half, and quickly pushed the lead to 20-3 early in the third quarter. The Rams rallied in the third and fourth quarters, nearly pulling off the comeback, but fell short in a game they didn’t deserve to win.
Jared Goff was 22 of 34 for 209 yards, with two touchdowns to one interception. But it wasn’t enough to help LA avoid an embarrassing loss.
The Rams play next Sunday (Dec. 27) afternoon, on the road, against the Seattle Seahawks. Los Angeles beat the Seattle 23-16 in Week 10.
