The Los Angeles Rams have been really good at home this season. The New York Jets have been really bad everywhere. The Rams are looking to get to 10-4 and setup a win-and-division-title game against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 16. But first they have to avoid falling victim to what would be the biggest upset of the season, as well as of this century.
The Jets are 0-13 and maybe not looking to avoid 0-14. There is plenty to like about picking second overall, but when you’ve been as bad as New York has been this season, getting to choose your franchise quarterback appears as a fine consolation prize.
I personally can’t stand that line of reasoning when you consider the number of Super Bowls won by Michael Vick, David Carr, Carson Palmer, Alex Smith, JaMarcus Russell, Matthew Stafford, Sam Bradford, Cam Newton and Jameis Winston (the only number one pick QB from this century to win a Super Bowl is Eli Manning, and he didn’t do it with the team that had earned the number one pick by losing) but “Yay! Hope.”
I do not expect the Jets to ruin their chances of doing that by getting a win today, but anything is possible. Talk about anything in the comments below!
