Random Ramsdom: Final score predictions

The Patriots are coming off a 45-0 shellacking of the Chargers while the Rams just handled the Cardinals 38-28. Both will meet tonight in a rematch of Super Bowl 53 inside SoFi Stadium.

The Rams shouldn’t have to worry about the Patriots putting up a similar performance tonight as they did against the other L.A. team. The Rams are lightyears ahead of the Bolts in terms of being a complete. well-rounded team and their special teams are also not one of the worst units of this century. This will be a much more fun game of football to watch.

My final score prediction is Rams 27, Patriots 17. I think Jared Goff will throw at least one interception but will otherwise have a decent day with ~250 passing yards and two scores. Cam Newton will do his best to run the ball but I think the Rams will shut the gate on him early.

This defensive front is way too good to allow the Pats to do what they want to on the ground and that passing offense is horrendous. This could be an even bigger win for the Rams than I predict if there aren’t too many lapses in their assignments.
