Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay limited star cornerback Jalen Ramsey to 50 defensive snaps in Sunday’s loss to the San Francisco 49ers, causing him to miss roughly one-third of the game. This was due to a “hip thing” that Ramsey felt leading up to the game according to Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic.
Sean McVay said Jalen Ramsey reported a bit of a “hip thing” in pregame warmups yesterday that limited his snaps a little and was new info to the staff. Also said nothing lingering came out of the game injury-wise. Williams was rotational specific to personnel.

There was nothing about the injury that would indicate Ramsey is going to miss Week 13’s important matchup against the Arizona Cardinals. It wasn’t enough for McVay to keep Ramsey off of the field on the final snap, when 49ers kicker Robbie Gould nailed a 42-yard field goal to win, moments after Ramsey was called for a penalty that got him five yards closer to the uprights.
Rookie linebacker Terrell Lewis was held out of the game entirely but McVay said there were no significant injuries to report after Sunday. Lewis was considered week-to-week prior to the game so he could return against the Cardinals.
Tight end Tyler Higbee was on the injury report prior to the game but was able to suit up and play. It seems as though other than the players who are on injured reserve, the Rams will have most of the roster at their disposal in Arizona as long as there nothing else pops up in practice this week.
