Despite their recent loss to the 5-6 Niners, the Rams have remained in the top-10 of ESPN’s latest round of power rankings. It was a close outing between divisional rivals, and any football fan worth their salt knows how difficult those can be, regardless of the team’s records coming into it.
Rams beat writer Lindsey Thiry believes there’s still plenty of hope for the Rams in their quest for a division crown, but they have to take care of business against the two teams they’re jockeying for position with.
“From top to bottom, the NFC West is the most competitive division in the league, which means the Rams’ next division game is their most important,” says Thiry. “Despite dropping the season series to the 49ers, the Rams remain in a three-team race with the Cardinals and Seahawks to win the division. Taking care of their game Sunday against the Cardinals is critical to staying in the hunt, especially with a trip to Seattle in Week 16. The Rams are 6-0 against Arizona under Sean McVay.”
The Rams currently have the second0ranked defense and the sixth-ranked offense. They have all that they need to be successful through the final stretch of the season. It’s just a matter of showing up at this point.
