What will the Rams record be in the second half of the season?

They went 5-3 in the first half, what gets LA back to the postseason?

NFL: Los Angeles Rams at San Francisco 49ers Kyle Terada-USA TODAY Sports

The LA Rams went 5-3 in the first half of the schedule and are currently on a bye. They have a difficult stretch of games when they return, beginning in Week 10 against the NFC-leading Seattle Seahawks. There are seven playoff teams in each conference this year and right now the Rams are in position to take one of the final couple of spots but a lot can change in two months.

A 10-6 record would almost guarantee the postseason with the extra spot and the current standings. Anything better is good news, anything less makes it dicey. I’ve added some polls to each game so that you can decide: what will the Rams second half record be?

Week 10 - vs Seahawks

Seattle is 6-1 and Russell Wilson is most people’s first half MVP but the Seahawks consistently struggle against Aaron Donald and Sean McVay. They also have one of the most giving defenses in the NFL.

Week 11 - at Buccaneers (MNF)

Tampa Bay is 5-2 and Tom Brady might be one of the top three candidates for MVP. What isn’t talked about as much as Brady is an elite defense that’s been that way since Bruce Arians’ first season with the team. It’s going to be hard for McVay’s offense to run in this one but the Bucs lost to the Bears a month ago. That’s the best news I’ve got.

Week 12 - vs 49ers

San Francisco won the first meeting. Jimmy Garoppolo may not be ready to return from a high ankle sprain in time. George Kittle is definitely out. Nick Bosa is definitely out. At home, LA needs this win unless they pull out a few upsets in the second half.
