This has been ugly regardless of what sideline you’re standing on. The 49ers lead the Rams 7-3 at halftime, with LA leading San Francisco 3-2 when it comes to turnovers. Jared Goff threw two first half interceptions and lost a fumble late in the second quarter. Nick Mullens has an interception and 49ers running back Jeff Wilson has a fumble, which is perhaps the only thing keeping this game close.
That and the fact that San Francisco kicker Robbie Gould also missed a 50-yard field goal attempt as time was near expiration.
Goff went 11 of 16 for 107 yards in the first half and the Niners held the Rams to 37 rushing yards on 17 carries. Malcolm Brown has also lost a fumble. Darrell Henderson only has 17 yards on his nine rushing attempts. On the bright side, Robert Woods has caught four passes for 58 yards and Jordan Fuller picked off Mullens.
Sean McVay needs all phases of the team to improve their performance in the second half. Talk about it here!
