Casual NFL fans probably tuned into Monday Night Football at the end of Week 11 to check out Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady, but they ended up being treated to a show by one of the league’s most underrated wide receivers, Robert Woods.
The Los Angeles Rams’ receiver had a huge game in their thrilling 27-24 victory, and he was rewarded for it by being named the NFC’s Offensive Player of the Week on Wednesday. This is the first such honor for Woods, who is playing in his eighth NFL season.
It was a well-deserved award for Woods. He recorded a whopping 12 receptions for 130 yards and had a touchdown catch in the victory.
The performance continued a strong season for Woods, who is a big part of the Rams’ 7-3 start. He has 54 catches for 599 yards and five TDs thus far.
Fellow Rams receiver Cooper Kupp also had a huge game against Tampa Bay, with 11 catches for 145 yards.
