After their latest win over the Buccaneers, the Rams are getting some much-deserved respect when it comes to NFL power rankings. After middling around the #9-#10 area, the Rams have taken a big leap forward into the #4 spot in Dan Hanzus’ rankings at NFL.com.

“So much for the narrative that the Rams are a team that only feasts on the have-nots of the league. Last week, Los Angeles throttled the mighty Seahawks offense. On Monday night, they went toe-to-toe with Tom Brady and the Bucs and came away with a 27-24 win in Tampa. Again, it was the defense that led the way for Sean McVay’s team: Brady never looked comfortable in the pocket and was intercepted twice by Jordan Fuller, including the game-clincher with less than two minutes to play. On offense, Jared Goff was locked in with his top wideouts: Cooper Kupp and Robert Woods combined for 23 catches and became the first teammates in Rams history to both have 10 catches in a game. The Rams control their destiny in the NFC West.”

The only teams in front of the Rams are the Chiefs, Steelers, and Saints. All of those team are playing phenomenal football and deservedly are among the top group.

It’s crazy to look back on all the preseason murmurings about the Rams potentially finishing the year with a sub-.500 record. As of now, the Rams are the most-complete team in the division and also one of the most well-rounded in the entire NFL. Combine that with them hitting their stride at this point in the season and it’s what most football fans dream of for their team.
