The 6-3 LA Rams are headed to Tampa Bay to face the 7-3 Tampa Bay Buccaneers and there is much more at stake than there was the last time these two teams played. The Rams need to keep pace with the 7-3 Seattle Seahawks and a win puts LA back into first place in the NFC West.
Defeating Bruce Arians’ Bucs also means that Tampa Bay takes a fourth loss, pushing them lower in the wild card race and nearly out of the running for the number one seed.
Of course, if the Rams end up losing, they will be the team that is all but out of contention for a bye week and they’ll at least temporarily drop into third place in the NFC West. It would be a much different feeling than the one we had after LA beat the Seahawks, which was still less than a week ago!
