It appears Los Angeles Rams running back Cam Akers will be able to resume his promising rookie season Sunday when the Rams visit the Washington Football Team.
After suffering a rib injury in Week 2 at Philadelphia, Akers missed the last two games. He worked on the side at practice last Friday and the hope was he would be able to play this week. That goal took a huge step forward when he practiced Wednesday.
Rookie starting safety Jordan Fuller, who missed the win over the New York Giants on Sunday, was also working Wednesday. Akers was limited and Fuller was a full participant in that mid-week practice.
Cam Akers and Jordan Fuller both back practicing in some capacity today, as expected.

The Rams did have three players sit out Wednesday, however.
As Sean McVay said earlier, no practice today for LB Micah Kiser (groin, pec), LB Kenny Young (knee), or T Bobby Evans (shoulder).

Linebacker Micah Kiser will likely be limited all week as the Rams hope that he plays at Washington.
Meanwhile, as fellow rookies Akers and Fuller appear headed back to the field, third-round pick, defensive end Terrell Lewis is getting closer to being activated and he could make his 53-man roster debut this week.
Per McVay, the team will see how the next two days go with Terrell Lewis and a final decision regarding possible activation to the 53-man will come later in the week.
