Random Ramsdom: Two Titans players test positive Wednesday morning

As of early Wednesday morning, the NFL has confirmed two more positive tests among Titans players, which immediately halts any chance they had of opening their facility back up later today.

With the NFL requiring two full days of zero positives to re-open, the Titans’ matchup with the Bills scheduled for Sunday is now in question. Simply put, if the Titans can’t even get in to practice, they will not play their game, meaning the NFL will have to do even more reshuffling of the schedule to make their new “bye” week fit in.

On top of the two new positives in Tennessee, Patriots star cornerback Stephon Gilmore also tested positive this morning, two days after their game against the Chiefs. He is currently the only other Patriots player to test positive, so he will join Cam Newton on the Reserve/COVID-19 list. As of now, no players in Kansas City have tested positives.

Finally, just one Raiders player has tested positive this morning. The player, who has yet to be named, will join defensive tackle Maurice Hurst on the Covid-19 list, who was placed on their earlier this week.

I’m not sure if this is enough to force the NFL into making some drastic changes, but things aren’t trending in the right direction, to say the least.

Is it time to create a bubble? Is that even possible right now? We’ll have to see how the rest of the week plays out.
