The San Francisco 49ers have had some highly publicized injuries recently but are 2-1 and expected to get back tight end George Kittle and wide receiver Deebo Samuel tonight. Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo will miss a second game, his 15th missed contest due to injury since the start of 2018, but last week Nick Mullens completed 25 of 36 passes for 343 yards and a touchdown during his ninth start for Kyle Shanahan.
On the other side, NFC West rivals are hoping that the 0-2-1 Philadelphia Eagles can get their act together for 60 minutes and pull out a win despite ranking 32nd in net yards per pass attempt thanks to a stunningly bad start by Carson Wentz. Three years ago he might have been the most valuable quarterback in the league but now Wentz has thrown two interceptions in each start this season and finds himself ranked 28th in completion percentage, 25th in touchdowns, first in interceptions, and 33rd out of 33 in yards per attempt.
If you’ve been waiting all day for a Sunday night, watch the game and talk about it here.
