Defensive tackle Aaron Donald was a dominant force from the first whistle until the last against Washington as he tied a career-high with four sacks on the day. For that marvelous effort, Donald was named the NFC’s Defensive Player of the Week.

His four sacks also thrusted him in to the league lead with 7.5 quarterbacks takedowns through the end of Week 6. The first time he recorded four sacks was against the 49ers in Week 7 of the 2018 season. Coincidentally, Donald will face the Niners in Week 7 of this year, as well.

This was the seventh time Donald has received the conference’s Defensive Player of the Week award and the first time since Week 11 of last year.
