After an incredibly rocky draft season and start to his NFL career, things could potentially be turning around for edge rusher Jachai Polite, the former Florida Gator and New York Jet. Polite has signed with the Los Angeles Rams to their practice squad:

Polite was once talked about as a potential top-10 pick, though his status took an incredibly deep plummet as his NFL Scouting Combine interviews were reportedly awful, he claimed all teams only showed and harped on negatives outside of the Rams and claimed that was his best/favorite meeting, and then he bombed the athletic testing. Yet still, Polite was drafted in the third-round, speaking to just how talented he was at Florida and how much more there is to his game. Polite also visited the Rams pre-draft.

Polite takes over the practice squad spot vacated by linebacker Dakota Allen who was signed by the Oakland Raiders the other day. Polite now has a chance to develop on the practice squad, with the potential to make the roster down the line.
