The Los Angeles Rams emerged victorious from an ugly battle on Sunday Night Football against the Cleveland Browns. Driving with the ball and a touchdown lead, a costly Jared Goff interception (his third turnover of the game) gave the Browns life until the defense stepped up again to prevent the potential tying touchdown in the closing seconds
Positives: Got the victory. Found ways to execute in the red zone to WR Cooper Kupp and leaned on the defense that is playing very well (kicking the FG for example).
Negatives: Two that stuck out to me:
1) Not taking advantage of the Cleveland Browns defensive weakness - The entire starting secondary of the Browns were ruled out and leading up to the game, it was evident most were going to be ruled out. Challenging backup players from the get go may have opened things up for the offense.
2) Run game creation - There were opportunities to run the game up the gut based on alignment from what many could see. Gurley and Brown were ineffective and this trend has been somewhat frustrating.
