Unfortunately for the Los Angeles Rams, one of the prospects they’re high on in linebacker Dakota Allen, has been signed by the Oakland Raiders:
The Raiders have signed LB Dakota Allen off the Rams practice squad, sources tell me and @PGutierrezESPN.

The Raiders poached Allen by signing him to their 53-man roster. This is the issue with the practice squad as it leaves your players exposed. The Rams now have a spot open on the practice squad.
Allen was a stud for the Rams in the preseason as he totaled 22 tackles and one pass deflection. Originally, Allen was drafted by the Rams in the seventh-round of the 2019 NFL Draft. Many fans hoped Allen would’ve made the 53-man roster, though undrafted free agent Natrez Patrick was the player who won that final spot at linebacker.
The Rams move forward with the duo of Bryce Hager and Taylor Rapp rotating inside. Allen was never a threat to start or receive any real playing time this year, though he was a player that could develop into a future starter.
Best of luck in Oakland, Dakota!
