The Rams are looking in-house for Micah Kiser’s replacement I Rams Wire
When Micah Kiser tore a pectoral muscle against the Dallas Cowboys in last Saturday’s preseason matchup, many of us immediately wondered who might be brought in. However, Sean McVay seems pretty content to let Bryce Hager, Dakota Allen, and Travin Howard compete for the starting role.
The Rams ranked second in ESPN power rankings I ESPN
The Rams are 0-2 this preseason, have rested all their starters except Micah Kiser (RIP his pectoral muscle), but are ranked number two in ESPN’s too early power poll. While this doesn’t matter very much, it probably irritates Saints and Eagles fans, so there’s that.
Rest in Power to ex-Rams quarterback Jim Hardy I KTLA
Until he passed on Monday, Jim Hardy owned the crown as the oldest living Ram. Check out this link to learn a little bit more about Hardy’s accolades. Condolences to Hardy’s family and friends, always a Ram.
Secondary depth will create some tough roster decisions I Rams Wire
Kevin Peterson, Dominique Hatfield, Dont’e Deayon, Steven Parker, and Darious Williams might not be household names, but all have played well in the preseason will make it tough for the Rams staff to trim down the roster shortly.
Todd Gurley’s workload will have string implications for other running backs roles I ESPN
Lindsey Thiry takes a look at what this season has in store for all Rams running backs not named Todd Gurley. All of them will be impacted any time Sean McVay decides to give Gurley a rest, which should be more often as the team looks to preserve Gurley.
Ogbonnia Okoronkwo finally shines I LA Times
Ogbonnia Okoronkwo has been frustratingly inactive due to injuries since being drafted by the Rams a year ago. In the team’s second preseason game Okoronkwo finally flashed his upside though, and impacted a ton of plays. He has a real chance to make the roster and even play if he can duplicate his production again, against the Denver Broncos this Saturday at United Airlines Field at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum (and that is a mouthful!).
