Roster Battle
Nope. Los Angeles Rams S John Johnson III will be locked in as a starter, though Defensive Coordinator Wade Phillips will have to figure out how to balance a rotation between Johnson, S Eric Weddle (roster preview) and 2019 NFL Draft second-round pick S Taylor Rapp (roster preview). It’s a bit of an embarassment of riches at the back, but I’m all for first-world roster problems.
Expectations
Extremely high.
Johnson was considered by many to be a Pro Bowl snub last after a fantastic season. Now headed into his third pro season, expectations are strong for Johnson and the Rams’ secondary overall.
Expectations gonna be sky high for @iamjohnthethird this year.

I think I'd bet on him living up to em. https://t.co/uW5bAVwetG

Chances of making the final roster (10/10)
Weddle kicked of the 2019 NFL Top 100 recently.
I wouldn’t be surprised at all if Weddle makes way for Johnson to make his first appearance on the list a year from now.
