2019 Los Angeles Rams roster preview: DL Michael Brockers, one last time?

Brockers has long been the Rams’ big man in the middle of their defensive line clogging up lanes and doing the dirty work that doesn’t show up on the box score. Is this his last go round with the Rams?

Los Angeles Rams DL Michael Brockers enters the 2019 season as one of the longest tenured Rams on the roster. The Big Man was drafted eight years ago, back in the 2012 NFL Draft out of LSU.

Brockers enters 2019 on a contract year Set to embark on his eighth pro season, is this the last ride for Brock in horns?

Roster Battle

As far as a position battle, there is none. Brock is one of the Rams’ three-down linemen usually sliding in as a five-tech defensive end in Defensive Coordinator Wade Phillips’ 3-4 scheme. He’s also got the versatility to slide inside at nose tackle in a pinch.

Expectations

More of the same-o is expected for Brockers. Big Mike has been consistently consistent throughout his career. If one thing stands to improve, its his pass rush production. But given he is eight years in to the league, he will not become a pass rushing nightmare on the inside all of a sudden.

Chances of making the final roster (10/10)

Ain’t a chance Big Brock is getting cut. Let’s saddle up for one last ride...
