With the 243rd-overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, the Los Angeles Rams select Penn State Nittany Lions S Nick Scott.

Collin Wieder of FanSided had this to say about Scott pre-draft:

A position change from running back to free safety saw Nick Scott go from a reserve back to a star ballhawking safety over his five years in Happy Valley. In his one season as a starter, he helped lead Penn State football’s defense to another solid campaign in 2018. His lone year didn’t give NFL teams a lot of film to work with, but one thing that Scott did do since he started seeing time on the field is make plays.

Lance Zierlein of NFL.com predicted Scott to be a priority free agent (so perfect range). This was Zierlein’s write up:

He’s a developmental prospect who will need to play with much greater consistency to make a roster and find the field, but he could make a name for himself as a special teams specialist in time.

Scott was not ranked on Mocking the Draft’s Dan Kadar’s rankings of the best players available after Round 3.
