NFL: Super Bowl LIII-New England Patriots vs Los Angeles Rams Dale Zanine-USA TODAY Sports

Ain’t nothing to see here, just legends doing legendary things. If you’ve become used to seeing Los Angeles Rams DT Aaron Donald finish as the best player on PFF’s Top 101 lists, then you might wanna shut your eyes quickly.

Here’s PFF’s latest reveal:

1st. Aaron Donald, DT, Los Angeles Rams

Top 101 appearances: 5

In the 2018 NFL season there really is no question who the best player in the game was, and what is remarkable is that he took his game to another level from an already ridiculous starting point. Aaron Donald was the single most destructive force in the game from his interior alignment on the Rams defensive line, earning an overall PFF grade of 95.2 and recording a staggering 113 quarterback pressures, both the best marks of any player in the league.

Donald finished first on PFF’s rankings this season, 2017, and 2015. He nearly four-peated as he came in second to only QB Tom Brady in 2016, though he’s clearly cemented himself as an unmatched force in PFF’s eyes (and, well, everyone else’s too).

Donald makes it the eighth Ram to make PFF’s list:

  • #1.) DT Aaron Donald
  • #29.) LT Andrew Whitworth
  • #49.) WR Robert Woods
  • #54.) RT Rob Havenstein
  • #69.) QB Jared Goff
  • #71.) SS John Johnson III
  • #87.) CB Nickell Robey-Coleman
  • #95.) DT Ndamukong Suh
