The 2019 NFL Scouting Combine is underway.
While yesterday was technically the first day, there wasn’t much for public consumption. Today, however, is quite different.
We’ve already got measurements coming in for offensive linemen; we’ll get those along with running backs and special teams prospects today.
We also get underway with head coach and general manager media sessions. Los Angeles Rams Head Coach Sean McVay and General Manager Les Snead will speak to the media tomorrow, but there’s still certain to be headlines coming out of today’s media sessions.
And we might get a nugget or two from the rest of the offensive prospects as they arrive today. Medical checks begin for them today, though they’re more complete on the second day of the group’s combine schedule. So for example, we might get preliminary info on say Mississippi St. Bulldogs QB Nick Fitzgerald who injured his ankle in November 2017. Given how well he played in 2018, concerns are probably easy to be put to bed, but you never know if there are underlying issues as a result of previous injuries.
