The Los Angeles Rams and San Francisco 49ers are nearing kickoff in their vital Week 16 matchup. The contest is crucial for both sides for differing reasons. For the Rams, a loss would eliminate them from a potential playoff spot, and for the 49ers, they’re currently vying for the top spot in the NFC as well as the NFC West crown.
Here are the seven inactive Rams tonight:
- TE Kendall Blanton
- OL Jamil Demby
- CB Dont’e Deayon
- S Jake Gervase
- RT Rob Havenstein
- CB Troy Hill
- LB Natrez patrick
For the Rams, TE Gerald Everett finally returns to the field after a multi-week absence. Big Hav remains on the sidelines, though the play of rookie RT Bobby Evans dampens the loss. Arguably the biggest loss is Hill as he’s played the best ball of his career opposite of CB Jalen Ramsey. Expect CB’s Darious Williams and David Long Jr. to get time at cornerback. K Greg Zuerlein is also active, even with the Rams trying out kickers during the week. It remains to be seen how healthy he is.
And the 49ers’ inactives:
- QB C.J. Beathard
- RB Jeff Wilson
- TE Daniel Helm
- WR Jordan Matthews
- EDGE Dee Ford
- DT Jullian Taylor
- S Jaquiski Tartt
The 49ers continue to miss Ford, and their defense takes another hit with the absence of Tartt. One thing to note: CB Richard Sherman is active and will play after entering the week in a questionable state.
