BREAKING: RB James Conner (shoulder) not expected to play Sunday against the LA Rams

Anytime a big-time production guy for the opposing team missing time, it’s bittersweet because you want to beat the team at its best so fans can truly known how good their team really is. But, c’mon... who are we kidding? Any misfortune to the Steelers roster will most likely reap benefits for the LA Rams.
And the way this season is turning out, any advantage the Rams can get will be helpful.
Filling in for RB Le’Veon Bell last season (who was sitting out due to contract issues), RB James Conner became a superstar for the team and hasn’t looked back. Conner missed last Sunday’s game against the Indianapolis Colts due to this shoulder injury and was limited in practice on Wednesday. While it’s not done deal that he’s going to sit out, signs are pointing to him standing on the sidelines.
RB Trey Edmunds and RB Jaylen Samuels will fill in for Conner as the Steelers attempt to win their fourth straight game.
Conner, 24, has 97 carries for 380 yards and four touchdowns. His yards per average has dipped to 3.9 compared to 4.5. the previous two seasons.
While the Los Angeles Rams’ defense has been thriving recently and the often maligned run-defense is currently ranked 7th, according to PFF, via Rams Wire, this will be welcome news as the defense can focus on eating QB Mason Rudolph for lunch.
