No Los Angeles Rams game today, my friends. But there’s still plenty of good football on and if you’ve been planted on your couch for the past seven hours there’s no reason to get up now!
Here’s a look at the afternoon and night games today:
Detroit Lions (3-3-1) at Oakland Raiders (3-4)
Despite their records, this should shape up to be a pretty good game. I’m guessing that both of these teams, despite their records, are hoping to turn things around and minimally earn a wild card spot in their respective conferences, though they’d need to start stringing together a bunch of wins. A loss today probably crushes that aforementioned hope.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2-5) at Seattle Seahawks (6-2)
Hey Bucs, do that thing where you fly across the country and put up 55.
Green Bay Packers (7-1) at Los Angeles Chargers (3-5)
The Packers are very good at football and may be getting star wide receiver Davante Adams back today. It’ll be a shame to see someone lose in the Coli today, but hey, at least it ain’t the Rams!
Cleveland Browns (2-5) at Denver Broncos (2-6)
Ewwwwwwwwwww. Just kidding. No but seriously, this is gross.
Sunday Night Football: New England Patriots (8-0) at Baltimore Ravens (5-2)
This should be an excellent Sunday night game...which just means the Tom Brady & Co. will hold the Ravens to 6 points and move to 9-0 on the season. Here’s to hoping that doesn’t happen. There’d be no better way to finish out a 14-hour day of watching football than to see the Patriots be dealt their first loss.
Rams have the Ravens in three weeks (Week 12), so this is a perfect opportunity to size up a very formidable opponent.
