Ah, football. You love to toy with us.

Los Angeles Rams fans were riding high all offseason. Then the football started and things were quite unpleasant as the Rams rode their inconsistency to a 3-3 record and a 25% confidence rate from our FanPulse voters. But after the Rams’ 37-10 demolition of the Atlanta Falcons in Week 7, fans jumped back up to 66%. Would a win against the Cincinnati Bengals in similar fashion in Week 8 help that other third of voters feeling more confident as the Rams go into the bye in Week 9? Probably not, but the big matchups coming in the second half of the season offer a chance to get the fan base feeling better about things with some key wins...or the opposite could happen. Opportunity!

We had two national questions this week. The first was a classic. What’s the best football movie?

I personally would have gone with Rudy, but I also wouldn’t have included Any Given Sunday as it’s not a football movie. It’s a fantasy movie fueled by cocaine that happened to feature some football in it. A guy’s eyeball comes out of his head. I do not know if you have ever watched football, but that doesn’t happen in football. Imagine thinking this is football:

Please stop using cocaine, Oliver Stone.

On to national question #2. Do refs suck? Shocking results!

Are they not officiated “fairly” or are they not officiated “well?” Not trying to be a stickler, but yanno. And let’s be real. It’s haaaaaaaaaaaaaard to referee football which is why there are constantly so many “bad” calls. Tough job, but somebody’s gotta do it.

Thanks as always for those of you who voted, and those who didn’t please sign up so we can hear from you!
