The Los Angeles Rams head into halftime leading the Atlanta Falcons by a score of 13-3.
The Rams’ defense has started off extremely strong, causing fits for Falcons’ QB Matt Ryan in the first half. Dante Fowler Jr. and Cory Littleton have both logged sacks and Aaron Donald is also living in the backfield. Fowler has had a particular disruptive first half.
The Rams’ offense is showing signs of life, as well. The running game really hasn’t gotten going, but the offensive line has held up well on passing downs, providing QB Jared Goff ample time to find his receivers.
Jared Goff enters halftime 15 of 27 for 178 yards, one touchdown and a 88.2 passer rating. Rams receiving leaders:
- Brandin Cooks - 5 catches, 59 yards
- Robert Woods - 3 catches, 50 yards
- Cooper Kupp - 5 catches, 44 yards
Lastly, credit John Fassel and the Rams’ special teams unit who came up big on a fake punt conversion with just over 4:00 remaining in the half. That 4th down conversion ultimately allowed the Rams to get the 10-point lead heading into halftime.
Also, thank you Matt Bryant.
