The Los Angeles Rams have announced their seven inactive players for today’s Week 6 game against the San Francisco 49ers, and it’s honestly a pretty big shock overall. While we knew the three starters who would be out today from the injury report, this list is a bit surprising.

Here are the seven:

  • OL Bobby Evans
  • RB Todd Gurley
  • CB David Long Jr.
  • LB Clay Matthews
  • C Coleman Shelton
  • DT Tanzel Smart
  • CB Aqib Talib

The real surprise here is that Smart is a healthy scratch today with rookie DT Greg Gaines joining EDGE Ogbonnia Okoronkwo among the actives while Long remains benched. Evans and Long are now the only players who have been inactive every game all year.

The Niners’ inactives are:

  • QB C.J. Beathard
  • FB Kyle Juszczyk
  • OT Mike McGlinchey
  • WR Jordan Matthews
  • OT Joe Staley
  • DL Jullian Taylor
  • CB Ahkello Witherspoon

That means TE George Kittle and EDGE Dee Ford are active.

Get settled in. This is gonna be a dogfight.
