Los Angeles Rams QB Jared Goff rises one spot in NFL.com’s week 6 QB index

In what was arguably QB Jared Goff’s best game of the season, the Los Angeles Rams QB got a tiny surge of respect from the NFL.com’s QB index this week.

So, Goff’s two turnovers per game needs to improve, that’s for sure. The presence of EDGE Nick Bosa is probably not going to help, but he’s been facing tough defensive fronts all season, so that’s nothing new.

The most valid criticism of Goff right now has to be his seven interceptions. The two QBs that are currently ahead of him, QB Jimmy Garoppolo and QB Derek Carr, have four and three INTs respectively. But of course, the 3 Goff fumbles isn’t helping either.

For Goff to crack the top ten in this index, he needs to eliminate his turnovers and the rest of what he’s doing (which is pretty good) will rise to the surface.

In case you care, the top spot for the QB Index is now locked up in a tie — QB Patrick Mahomes II and QB Russell Wilson are considered to be equal in terms of excellence by the NFL.com experts.

Will Goff help out his case on Sunday vs. the San Francisco 49ers? It depends on how loud you cheer for him the Coliseum.

Whose house? Goff’s house.
