Los Angeles Rams vs. Dallas Cowboys divisional playoff preview: Rams open as 7-point favorites over Cowboys

The Los Angeles Rams are set to host the Dallas Cowboys in the divisional round of the 2019 NFL playoffs, and are doing so as heavy favorites early on.

Per our partners at OddsShark, the Rams opened up as 7-point favorites according to most oddsmakers. That’s the second-highest line this weekend just below the New Orleans Saints giving the Philadelphia Eagles eight points on the spread. Meanwhile, the Kansas City Chiefs are five-point favorites over the Indianapolis Colts with the New England Patriots enjoying the smallest margin on a four-point spread.

Perhaps more interesting is that the over/under is currently set at 49. The Rams had four over/unders to start the season under 50. After that? The only one was Week 16 against the Arizona Cardinals. Unlike that game where the O/U was more of an indication of the Cardinals’ weak offensive output, this one is more an indication of the strength of the Dallas Cowboys’ defense.

In any case, it’s a fair indication of the expectations going into this game with the Rams being heavy home favorites.
